Default Concept NPC: Enforcer (Fort Aspenwood/Quarry)

The Luxon/Kurzick Enforcer that is a special NPC that appears next to the player starting area in the beginning of the Fort Aspenwood or Jade Quarry CMs. The Enforcer's main purpose is ensure the recruited players participate in the battle and are not just weak dissenters (leeches).

The enforcer works by covering a large Area of Effect with a special skill called Watchful Eye. Watchful Eye is a special condition that is removed if a player moves past green gate, uses the Kurzick/Luxon telepads that lead into the battlefield, or takes damage/deals damage to an enemy. If a player remains under Watchful Eye for over 30 seconds the Enforcer gives a warning. (The enforcer only starts using Watchful Eye when the mission starts.)

"To arms! We need you at the front soldier!"

After his warning, the enforcer will begin commenting on the still player.

"Aren't going to do anything? Your friends are dyin' out there!"

"Get in there and fight dammit!"

"Whats wrong with you? I said fight! Are you deaf or something?"

"Are you as useless as you look?"

If a whole minute with a player under the influence of Watchful Eye passes, the Enforcer will give a final warning and begin a 10 second countdown.

"This is your last chance soldier! I'll give you 10 seconds to get in there and fight! If you don't I'll deal with you myself!"

When the countdown reaches 0 the player is branded a traitor and enforcer becomes eligable to use a special skill called "Enforcement", which causes instant death to the leecher. The Enforcer then spawns a random classed Kurzick/Luxon henchman to replace the fallen ally by using the skill "To Arms!" (These henchie replacements have the similar skills to Zaishen PvP henchmen, but more geared toward factions skills). If the enforcer kills a player, it will be noted at the bottom of the screen in green text:

"(Player Name) has been executed for treason."

Allies killed by the Enforcer cannot be rezzed and are promptly removed from the game.

The Luxon enforcer cannot be reached by the enemy team. On the Kurzick side, when the Green Gate falls the Kurzick enforcer will fight for his team if aggroed. The Kurzick enforcer is a lvl. 24 warrior that uses the following skills:

Whirling Axe (E)
Executioner's Strike
Healing Signet
"Watch Yourself!"
"None Shall Pass!"

"To Arms!" (Special)

Shout. Summons aid to replace traitorous allies who have dissented during battle.

Watchful Eye (Special)
Skill. All allies in the area become affected with Watchful Eye. If watchful eye lasts for 60 seconds the affected ally is branded a traitor after a 10 second countdown. Watchful Eye ends if a player passses green gate, uses a teleporter, or takes/deals damage.

Enforcement (Special)
Skill. Execute target traitor. Traitors cannot be resurrected and are discharged from the party if killed.

If the enforcer is killed, he will only respawn when green is repaired. If the Luxon force makes it to the enforcer, he has probably dealt with all the leechers already.

The enforcer is your best friend... You will love the enforcer.

Not a bad idea. I can't see any problems with this and it would certainly be better to have an NPC fighting with you then just having a leecher.

The kurzicks get one extra warrior on their side as well, which isn't a significant change (lol they are outnumbered as it is). It would be great to see the Enforcer fighting, and even die when Green goes down.

Also the execution messages would be priceless Talk about calling out leechers....

just one thing, if they were to add this, they should add it without warning to caught off of guard the leechers, but, as it is, leechers can bypass this:
they move once every 20 or so seconds, and for the skills:
warrior: spam heal sig
monk: smap healing touch on self
ranger: spam read the wind
Necro: spam blood renewal...

i think you get what i mean.

there are 3 types of leechers:
the normal leecher: the one who manually hits the enter button, he can be watching tv and just hitting a skill every once in a while.
the bot leecher: enters automatically, and can also automatically use skills (if programed to)
the leeching player: talks and insults his team saying how bad they are and why should he play if the team sucks (yes, i got one one time)

instead of checking for movement or skill usage what about damage?
if the enforcer patrols the green gate area/teleporter, no one has a reason to be there, unless a luxon sneaks behind an amber runner, so if they are there its because they are defending gunther, therefore taking damage, so why not make it (or add it to the movement+skill usage) that if no damage is taken for 60 seconds...

even when bonding the green gate i still receive the ocassional fire storm+dragons breath AoE on my monk.

Very good point, maybe it should be distance based as in watch eye ends when a player runs past green gate, or uses the teleporters on luxon side.

I like the idea, although, i'd rather have him as a monk, so helt all the teams that werent lucky enough to get a monk. If the luxons have a monk, and the kuzrick doesn't, it's very hard to win.

I am ofc assuming that it's at least a medicore skill monk.

Default Hmm

The enforcer should not be able to be attacked, nor should the enforcer be able to engage in combat.

The enforcer should only boot

However, leechers would still get free faction for a brief period of time. But I guess getting 12 faction then getting booted is better than getting 750 faction and not getting booted.

With that correction I would
/sign.
